Rome Italy, 2001/9/6 St. Ignazio Church (Chiesa di Sant' Ignazio)

The Rome performance took place on September 6th in the St Ignatius church. This was the first time ever that kagura was performed in a Catholic church. The event owed much to the auspices of the Vatican's council for inter-religious dialogue. Prior to the event Buzen kagura artists played and danced to enthusiastic audiences in the famous Navane square and before the Pantheon.
