ISF was invited to present a Shinto statement
on "Religion and Globalization in the
new millennium" at an International
Seminar in Lisbon, Portugal, which was organized
by the North-South Center of the Council
of Europe. |
| ISF donated a set of 121 volumes of "Shinto
Taikei" to the East Asian Library at
the University of California, Berkeley. |

ISF Representative Office was established
in Moscow, Russia, covering ISF services
in Russian Federation, Commonwealth of Independent
States and Eastern Europe. |

ISF formally accredited an NGO with a special
consultative status with the Economic and
Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations. |

ISF contributed to the 7th Annual International Day of the World's
Indigenous People at UN Headquarters in New York. |
| The Fifth Shinto Seminar of ISF in Tokyo with over 450 attendees was entitled "Shinto's

Two distinguished KAGURA Troupes performed
in Europe (in Oslo, Norway, in London, U.K. and in
Rome, Italy) under the sponsorship of ISF
and IFAC as well as supported by the Japan
Foundation and other institutions. |

Conference at UN Headquarters in New York. |
| The Result of Shinto Essay Competition 2001 was announced and prizes awarded. |

| ISF organized a Shinto Memorial Service for Terrorist Victims
and Shinto Prayer for World Peace at Chapel in the Church Center for the United
