Interfaith Center of NY hosted a performance
on Oct 4 2003. Chief officer, Mitsutaka Inui and Ms. Junko Tanizaki
of both volunteered their time for a tea ceremony at Riverside
Park. This is one of the fresh water projects organized by Interfaith
Center of NY. As you know, this year was designated as fresh water
year by the UN.
To start out the performance,
Ms Junko Tanizaki hosted a tea ceremony for Water-deity(Mizu-no-kami)
then Rev. Mitsutaka Inui performed a shinto prayer. There were
more than 100 people in attendance including four priests, ISF,(hindu,
yoruba-african, christian, shinto.) They served tea at the park
to several attendees after the ceremony. |
