Details of venue map, parking place and other details shall be informed after receiving the application.
  • 3 and 5 year-old boys and 3 and 7 year-old girls with parents, or accompanying adult(s).
  • We will accept 7 families (a family consisting of 1 or 2 blessed children plus 3 family members) for each Ceremony.
  • All are welcome to wear their own traditional clothing for the celebration as well.
  • Any nationality is welcome.
  • A limited number of Kimonos are available for rent to children for $30 per kimono.
  • Unfortunately, there are no kimonos available for 3 years-old boys.
  • For Kimono dressing, please arrive the event location 1 hour prior to the ceremony.
  • If no rental Kimono is available, please wear semi-formal attire. (example: suits, dresses)
  • Kimono-dressing only service is not available.
  • If Kimono's are soiled or damaged by renter, a cleaning or repair fee may be charged.
  • Eating and drink during the ceremony is strictly forbidden.
  • Rental kimonos, while in very good condition, are not brand new.
An application fee of $40 is required for each child; $10 of which will be donated on behalf of ISF to UNICEF to benefit all the needy children of the world.
  • We will accept personal check and money order only.
    No cash and credit card accepted at the place.
  • Checks must be payable to "The International Shinto Foundation".
  • When we receive your application form, we will send the confirmation by e-mail to you.
  • Cancellation within two days or less before the ceremony will not be refunded.
  • If you rent the Kimono, you can not go outside by yourself alone. Please follow the staff's instruction.
  • You can bring your own camera, however, in order to keep solemn atmosphere during the ceremony, you are kindly requested not to take pictures. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

    (No schedule for taking a picture after the ceremony by professional cameraman)

  • ISF has all the rights to limit the number of participants and to use all photographs and images taken from and texts written about the ceremony.
  • All the participants have to follow ISF stafffs instructions, but ISF disclaims all the responsibility for any unexpected accidents and troubles.
