The 12th International Children's Day Celebration
in New York City
(ICDC, Shichigosan)

(Actual Ceremony will be 30 minutes in duration)


*All kimono for 3 years old girl have been rented out on both days.
*All kimono for 5 years old boy have been rented out on both days

*No parking space available.
*We have no schedule for taking an individual family picture by a professional photographer after the ceremony that we had done before.

Qualifications:

• 5 year-old boy and 3 and 7 year-old girls with parents, or accompanying adult(s).

• Any nationality is welcome.

• Number of participants in the ceremony is limited to 5 persons including the parents for one child (or children).

• All are welcome to wear their own traditional clothing for the celebration as well.

Observation:

Visitors who are not members of participating families may observe the ceremony, free of charge (space is limited).

Kimono Rental:


*All kimono for 3 years old girl have been rented out on both days.
*All kimono for 5 years old boy have been rented out on both days.


• A limited number of Kimonos are available for rent to children for $30 per kimono.

• Unfortunately, there are no kimonos available for 3 years-old boy and adult.

• Please prepare your own costume in case of no fit-size kimono being available.

• Kimono-dressing only service is not available.

• Hair make up is not available.

• Cleaning fee might be charged in case of dirt on the rental kimono.

• Eating and drinking during the ceremony are firmly forbidden.

• Our rental kimonos are not brand new.

• You cannot choose size and colors beforehand.

• Kimono dressing is include but they were volounteers (some of them are not professional).

• For Kimono dressing, please arrive the place 1 hour prior to the ceremony.

• We proceed the kimono-dressing in turns by the rental number.

•Please understand that when you are not come on time, the following person is guided.

• Moreover, you cannot possible to choose kimono even if you come earlier than the time, please arrive the plcace right time.

• If you rent the Kimono, you can not go outside the building.

Fee / Donation:

An application fee of $40 is required for each child; $10 of which will be donated on behalf of ISF to UNICEF to benefit all the needy children of the world.

Payment of the fees:

• We will accept personal check and money order only.

• No cash and credit card accepted at the place.

• Checks must be payable to "The International Shinto Foundation".

• When we receive your application form, we will send the confirmation by e-mail to you.

• Cancellation within two days ( Oct 19th, 2011) or less before the ceremony will not be refunded.

Photo shoot:

• If you rent the Kimono, you can not go outside the building. Please follow the staff's instruction.

• You can bring your own camera, however, in order to keep solemn atmosphere during the ceremony, you are kindly requested not to take pictures. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

(No schedule for taking a picture after the ceremony by professional cameraman)

Cancellation Deadline;
Cancellations must be received no later than October 19th, 2011.
Cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund. Cancellations must be submitted to the ISF NY Center and can be accepted via phone, fax or e-mail.

Note:

ISF has all the rights to limit the number of participants and to use all photographs and images taken from and texts written about the ceremony.
All the participants have to follow ISF staff’s instructions, but ISF disclaims all the responsibility for any unexpected accidents and troubles.
